Framed Movements
World Premiere
Part of Visual Arts series.
PRESENTED BY MELBOURNE FESTIVAL AND THE AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
CURATED BY HANNAH MATHEWS
Centred around the Australian premiere of New York performance artist Maria Hassabi’s hypnotising Intermission, the Framed Movements exhibition is an intriguing investigation into the potential that lies at the shifting boundaries between art forms.
Focusing on the compelling possibilities that spring from the conjunction of movement, composition and form, Framed Movements features film, installation, photography and performance, and brings together some of the world’s most forward thinking contemporary artists from Denmark, Poland, the USA, New Zealand, Australia and more.
“Easily the most striking and beautiful new work I saw in Venice.”
