Local Artist Card
Local art practitioners can apply for the Melbourne Festival Local Artist Card which invites you to engage closely with the Festival.
Card holders can attend shows at discounted rates, attend forums and receive invites to workshops while interacting with Festival staff and visiting artists.
The below benefits are offered to all successful applicants for 2014.
Full-time students need not apply as they can receive the same discount with proof of their student card.
Applications for 2014 Local Artist Cards are closed for 2014.
LOCAL ARTIST CARD BENEFITS
The Local Artist Card entitles the named holder to the following benefits:
- Concession priced tickets – two concession priced tickets to Melbourne Festival controlled events;
- Rush Tickets – available from the venue one hour prior to the performance, subject to availability;
- Special discount ticket price – prior notification of special discount offers to Festival presented shows;
- Industry Party Invitation – successful applicants will be invited to an exclusive Industry Party to celebrate the opening of the Festival at the Foxtel Festival Hub;
- Opening Night Party – successful applicants go into the draw to win one of 10 invitations to the Melbourne Festival Opening Night Party on Sat 11 Oct for you and a guest. Apply by Tue 16 Sep to go into the draw.
PURCHASING TICKETS USING YOUR CARD
In person
- Present your Local Artist Card at the relevant ticketing outlet, a venue box office or Melbourne Festival box office at the Foxtel Festival Club to purchase tickets
Via Melbourne Festival
- Complete your ticketing form (download here) and email to ticketing@melbournefestival.com.au with your contact details and we will be in touch to arrange payment.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Local Artist Card holders are entitled to two concession tickets to each eligible Festival event;
- Concession prices are not available in Premium Reserved seating;
- Local Artist Card must be shown at point of purchase to receive the ticket discount;
- Photo ID required upon purchase of tickets;
- Local Artist Card discounts are not available for internet and phone bookings;
- Bookings are not transferable.
